I need to detirmine if my battery has shat itself, or if my stator is shagged. Yesterday arvo my bike started, then i heard a crack from under the seat and the engine cut out. Tried to restart, starter button did nothing.
Bike is a 2010 fe390, battery is a SSB powersport lithium ion which isn;t a year old. The bike hasn't had much use of late, so perhaps that could be a factor??
I jump started it with a spare battery, but as soon as i disconnected a jumper lead the engine cut out. So my thoughts are the battery is now cactus and wont retain any voltage, but i thought the bergs were self sustaining while running?? perhaps i was wrong, but i guess if the batteries internals are shagged it wouldn't run anyway.
Has anyone had a similar problem before?? What's the best battery to run?
