Delorto carb

you may well have the /50 slide cutaway already. pleae look under your slide for a number. it'll be either /40 or /50

if 50 you don't really want 60 and you need to stay where you are. if 40 then get a few PJs in: 52, 50, 48

regards

Has a 35 (round) number is on top.
The flat slide i replaced has a 55.
Flat slide had the same off idle hit
The round slide is maybe 10% better.
Another 15% better would be nice.

What's a 'PJ" ?
Is the number just the angle of the cutaway? In degrees?
If i need to get slides with different angles this could be a pia. I got lucky scoring a good clean 38 round slide, i bet there isn't another one for 200 miles.
Can i just increase the angle of the cut slightly? See if it helps?

How about modding the throttle roll so the cable pulls a little slower at the beginning?
I don't mind tinkering, i have lots of free time.

Has anybody figured out a way to adjust idle speed on a round slide without moving the tank? Adjuster screw it on top of the slide, i can get one finger on it when the bike is cool.

Thanx

I really can't follow what you're saying?

the numbers under the slide denote the height of the cutaway.

It must be my accent. lol 'numbers under the slide' ? On the bottom? There isn't any, there is a 35 on the top of the slide. On the flat slide carb i was running there is a number on the inside of the slide and a number if you look down the slide bore. '12'
Maybe we have terminology confusion. To me the cut away is the angle on the bottom of the slide, it controls the amount of fuel that the motor pulls at the first part of throttle opening. It works like an accelerator pump on a car motor.
thanx
