does anyone know of a quality sealant , i have tried a few brands but they don't last 5 min .

for a while ive been using the rtv silicone made by wurth not sure if you can get it in oz seem,s to hold up long enough in between main bearing replacement :D

I use 'ThreeBond 1211. Make sure you wait for 72 hours after assembling it before running it! make sure you remove all of the old material and the pipe is clean and oil free.

Proseal 'Copper XS Hi-Temp RTV Silicone Instant Gasket' is also very good.

The Proseal is good for 370 C.

If your Berg has the ball & Socket mid pipe to tail pipe interface, make sure they are fully ingaged. My 04 didn't engage fully so I had to slot the frame brackets.

I use exhaust tape made by Moose Racing (7 USD). It's like putty. You knead it between your fingers install it in the joints of the exhaust and it expands with heat. Works well.

i agree with you on the wurth sealant , i used it on my rocker cover which always leaked .

that product is great .

i am in no way shape or form associated or related to the above product .

You can't beat Permatex's Ultra silicones. These aren't rtv's.I tend to use the "Ultra Grey" because it looks better and is good to 625'F.I've also used the ultra black which I believe is rated at 500'F with no problems.Ultra Copper is the highest heat but I don't care for the orange silicone look.If you wipe off any excess good this would be the best.

Ive tried the above except the wurth

Threebond 1207B is the shiznit for things that get hot

expensive in australia though

the bloke who starteed the thread has probably passed away mr 'bigthings'!

check the date on the thread and you know....think it through....

no need for any exhaust compound on any husaberg if the jetting is right and 50% of the time it's the PS that can sort that out.
