Thanks sparks, any tips on getting the circut board out of the housing? the plug is on the back (underside) of the circuit board I assume?

Hi Azza,

Thinking back I think I had the same problem as you are experiencing, you will find four screws on the underside of the speedo housing, once removed you can access the board, I can't remember if this was the root of my problem but I do know it was a bad connection some where.
It could of been the three button cluster that brings up the different options for the computer.
