Hi guys, it's a dark when rev up the engine in garage.
Is it an adjustment of the carb. required? Also when I climb down
I hear exhaust rattle ( no throttle ).

"BlacK" smoke is an indication of excessive fuel. If you have a later model Husaberg equipped with a Keihin FCR carburetor said smoke is as a result of the (unnecessary) accelerator pump shot.

If not equipped with a "pumper" carburetor the fuel mixture is simply rich through the metering rod and main circuit.

Hope this helps.

it's a '99 400 dale.

new guide seals?
rings?
rich?

190MJ is all it needs but the older dell ortos have a reputation for wearing out so if your engine (and carb) have done many, many miles then maybe the carb is worn. consider a new emulsion tube, MJ and needle.

Actually it's some Mikuni carb. and most probably has acc. pump.

we advocate no accelerator pump jet at all!

bikes actual;ly still run quite rich and don't have the theoretical hesitation that people talk of.
