Dairies of the FE600e
Well fellow Bergers, as you know by now, I purchased a 98 FE600 last month and after sitting for 4years I had some clean up work done to it and put some new goodies on the girl.
Today was our first ride together up in the mountains behind Valencia Ca. My first time riding in 8 years and the Bergs first time in 4! I must say after our 40mile ride from late afternoon and returning after dark, I’m now totally hooked on Husaberg. The bike ran great the whole time and it handles way better than I thought it would.
It feels like I’m riding a nimble 250 with silly power on tap! It’s almost like riding an automatic transmission bike, just put it in third and keep rolling, plenty of power on demand not a whole lot of need working the gears.
My buddy and I climbed up to 3000 feet just above the cloud line and got to see the sun set, and then hit the trail to finish our adventure on lightsâ€â€

My first experience on a berg was 98 fe600 as well, had me hooked from day one. It was my frist bike after being on a hiatus for number of years as well. enjoy!

98 fe600e was my first berg as well (great minds?). used it back east for gncc and nat'l dualsport (where i found out there was no reserve when you turned the fuel to reserve). power when you were able to use it was addictive, problem was you would go thru a rear tire in one ride. agree that the handling felt good, like it was steering quicker than it was. have since owned 2 98 400s and feel that they plow more in the front which is what you would expect. maybe different terrain? but wayy too much motor for an old man on tight singletrack.

i lost my husaberg-inity on a 98 fx600e.
and like you, i was hooked. the bike is a great ride.
tons of power, nimble, reliable and just plan fun.
as with any good addiction, "a little got more and more"
and flowing that trend i have a 02 650e.
even more stupid power.
best of luck.
tuts
