Cycle World FE450 test

When in the Grocery store, pick up the Feb 2007 Cycle World. Up front is a quick ride review of a 2006 FE450E. Why didn't they test a 2007? Anyhow, they really liked it. Having to criticize something, they thought the suspension soft for big whoops and hits, but excellent everywhere else. They praised the overall quality and polished feel of the bike. They term it "Everyman's Exotic". Changing the subject, I just saw a video I would like to recommend, if you haven't seen it yet. Long Way Around is the title. It's about two actors, who are motorcyclist, that decide to ride around the world. They actually do it, and film it too. Interestingly enough, they are deciding on the bikes to take, and pick the KTM Adventure over the BMW GS. Then KTM pulls out, no sponsorship, fearing that they will fail. It is painful at times to watch where they took the GS's that they ended up with. Great movie, even my wife got into it!

....and when i first joined UHE all the lads would say was that all magazine tests were corrupt and that nobody had a good word for husabergs.....

today on ktmtalk i have talked of my husaberg's suspension "ploughing into the face of whoops with no control" so some things never change...

regards

Just wait till you get to the part where they eat goat testicals.

Great series.
I've eaten lots of calf fries in my time, but we at least had the sense to dip them in batter and deep fry them. Some guys say they taste like chicken, whereas I think they have a nutty flavor. Anyway, those folks in the show were just throwing a bunch of goat nuts into a big pot and boiling them. 8O

Sorry to hijack this thread from the subject of goat testicles, but they wrote that test in June or July 2006 and only recently found space in the magazine for it.

I don't want to hijack the thread either, but please tell me Satex and Kelsow are NOT cooking in Moab!l

Of course

Is this the same test that BOSS participated in?

Bozarth participates in all Husaberg magazine tests by making sure that the bike is set up perfectly. And yes, he can do it for you too ;)

RE: Of course

He did do it for me. I bought my '07 fe450 from him, and yes, he did set it up right..

They are just playing the lates of Charley Borman's films on SBS TV in Australia.

It's called Race to Dakar, and Boorman and 2 others race the 06 Dakar rally with the support of BMW again, and the other half of the team, another 4 guys race a BMW X5 car, and they have a truck as well.

It has been really good viewing, but unfortunately Borman broke bones in both hands in Morocco or thereabouts and was forced out.

Tough stuff, you'd need to be one hell of a survivor to do that trip....

Each to their own. Soft shocks is just what the doctor ordered for me.
I ride rocks and I ride them fast. The softer the better.

Honestly when I think of enduro bikes. Woops are not the first thing that I think of.
Infact most enduro riders tend to avoid woops.
