Crawling first gear even when clutch is engaged? Any ideas?

oh yeah i was stunned and forgot to say

wait till you find out the cost of the quote + labour , you will enter into a world of hurt :evil3:

no we have split apart and can see the conrod facing has worn off aswell as worn the PIN

The piston is still within tolerences so i may just put the same one back in.

I was wondering if husaberg had Vins for faulty Conrods that may have been sent out but who knows.

Not to happy about it all but what can you do?

the conrod kit is over $500.00 alone .

what would cause the wear at such low hours ? , you use good quality oil with frequent oil changes . from what you say you do not flog it .

i am shocked

They say maybe because i load it up out of the corners with the clutch.

Short shifing but i didnt know what short shifting was till tonight.

I could not have babied this bike anymore than i have.......

Sorry to hear the bad news factor.

Now you can see why I havent yet got around to fixing mine yet..........

How about some pics of the worn bits ??

Whosahberg I cannot purchase your conrod because the 04 Conrod does not fit the 05 06 or 07 crank. Thanks anyway though.

Factor,

not a good scenario, If I were you, I'd try to keep the conrod, and send it to L.M. electroplating (vic) and see if they can nicosil plate the big and small ends, it will probably return the tolerances to new, and will be harder than the factory surfaces, you may want to do it after you've paid for the rebuild, a spare conrod is allways handy..

Azza.

Sorry to hear your bad news,

I can donate you my ex-wife if thats any help!

Regards and all the best with the rebuild.

Craig

Nah mate its alright I already have one wife and I can assure you one is more than enough :)

I understand,

So on a ligher note when you think about it your engine rebuild it is lower stress and cheaper than a new bike or a ex-wife.

Goodluck & Let the force be with you!

Cheers;

Craig

The price on the complete crank is not that far from the price of the rod kit when you consider the labor charge..

The complete crank (it does not come with counter balancer) is $1000 au .
When just the conrod kit is $460 au and Counter Balancer is $500 au.
Wonder wether I would get better prices off of a US or EURO dealer even including freight to AU?
