crap in new 570 tank

I went to fill the tank of my new 570 and there it was. The same crap that is in new KTM 990 tanks. It's a white powder. Now I have to take the damn tanks off and flush them  . This stuff in the 990's coats in the throttle bodies. Anyone else seen this?

If you check the forums, you'll see it's becoming what some would call quite commonplace. The latest thread concerned a 390 and traveling manufacturer reps before it was figured out.

At least it has become common enough for everyone to know to look for it first off when having an issue, unlike the pioneering few that had to find it initially.

While I had my tank off to clean it I thought I would mount a temp sensor in the tank to get some base line numbers on actual fuel temperature. Won't really know how good a heat shield works without it. Anyone know if you can buy just the case for the fuel pump? Parts book shows the fuel pump assembly as one. I'm thinking of mounting the sensor on the plate. Just want to be able to replace that part after I take the sensor out. I could put the sensor in the fuel line but I don't think that would be as accurate. It would have to go in a AN style "T" that's aluminum. The T would heat up and throw off the readings.

New biking coming. Leftover 09 570. I guess I'll need to be looking and possibly flushing my tank too.

Is this pretty obvious looking in the tank if my bike is afflicted.
