Crakshaft seal ring

Hi all!

The one on the left side of the crankshaft seal ring I saw that there are a little bores. (this is pierced industrial)
Is this made in this manner at everybody?
Why is this solved in this manner?

Yes, the LH mainseal has a very small bleed hole in it! never really found out why it is there by anyone but it comes std.

I saw that hole in mine when I tore it down too.
I couldn't see the point and have since replaced with the aftermarket hole-free version.
I'll let you know if it blows up any more than usual! :twisted:
