I have a full tapered Ti FP exhaust (2003 I believe) and the shortest of the header pipes have cracked

I am after a replacement (just the headers) if anyones got some for sale ?

I don't know if the stainless steel ones will fit my Ti mid section ?

I think the better sollution is to make custom headers.they will be more powerfull and better quality.i had the same problem and they loss in the connects.

will it not weld ?

i've seen a few of these systems cracked there and i'm sure they were welded. just a thought.....

Titanium can be welded up no problem but you need to see a specialist. Titanium gives off nitrogen and oxygen gases when its heated which attacks the weld, same as eg. mig welding without shielding gas. Usually they have a cabinet like a bead blasting cabinet in which they suck out the air and replace it with argon so the back of the weld is protected as well as the front.

But you probably didnt need to know all that!

Titanium must be weled with a TIG welder. Find someone who can do it. As it requiers the weld puddel to be surouned by the welding gages as well as the back side. There are many articles on the internet.
