I'm rebuilding my fe450 and found small crack inside inlet port on head. Machinist told me that is happening during molding process in factory and nothing to worry about. He showed me few car heads with same type of cracks.
I'm assuming that it is on the intake side. With that being said, I can't imagine that the heat gets bad enough to distort the port.
