Cracked and broken engine case - Husaberg FS 650e 2006

Hello husaberg riders,

Last time i went riding my husaberg was peeing oil all over the place. I found out that a piece of my engine block has snapped off. All this was caused by a bolt from the camchain slide that has got out of the threads and been making this hole in the engine case. Only little harm were done to the clutch cover, about 1/2 of the gasket surface is left where the damage was done.

I have spoken to many people about this, and everytime i ask a new person, i get a new solution which the think is the perfect and only way to fix it. My plan is to get it welded by a professional aluminum welder, and then grind down to make the gasket surface working again, of course i will cover the bearings to avoid metal pieces getting into the engine.

Here is a folder with pictures of the damage:

Have you ever experienced something like this, and what is you're suggestions?

Thank you very much.

For a long term and reliable result, you are correct!
Well, anyways, thats how I would go about it.
If I was on a track 1000km from home, and I was leading the championship, and this was a Friday or Saturday (one race left), that chemical metal would come to mind...
