my 600 had a carb like yours(changed it to phm 40mm).
i had to buy once a slide guide, i found it easily at my dealer's.
mine guide though is plastic and black, yours seems to be made of alu right?

If the outside of that is on the outside of the carb, then you might be able to fix it using JB Wield. You still might be able to fix it even if it does slide into the carb, just have to be more careful. The best way is just to replace it, but if you can`t ... Hope this helps.
