counterbalancer install

I just received the new double bearing CB for my '02 fx470. The CB comes with the bearings installed in the weight. The manual (as far as I can tell) suggests that one bearing be installed on the crank, then the weight, then the remaining bearing. What have you guys been doing to install the CB? I was hoping to just heat up the two inner races and drive on the whole unit with a pipe.

It all seems pretty basic, but any other tips on putting the motor together would be appreciated.

I first installed a very thin spacer, that was supplied with my kit. Then just tapped the CB onto the shaft of the crank. I had a black iron nipple that I slide over the crank, and then I just gently tapped the CB into place. Have fun timing the CB and CB driver shafts! Little tip get some red pain and mark the back side of the CB then the dot on the CB driver shaft. I used an arbor press to install the crank into the case. Good luck!

They might have up graded the Kit? But I still would give your dealer a call and have him check to see if the spacer was missing from your parts?
