i stripped my motor and then put the spigot back in the cases. tightened them up and sent the 'engine' off to the motor engineers. they're very good normally but they "howled" that the spigot wasn't sat level with the top of the case. the job couldn't be done!
question;
how do you ensure that the spigot and case are machined evenly and correctly?
PS; in the end they had to be machined seperately.
