Cooling for 2007 FE 550

Planning on riding a fair amount in the high desert here in southern California this summer. Temps get quite hot. Haven't had overheating issue with the berg yet, but did want to check in with folks on this as I expect the heat might require some extra precaution.

Question: Do you think I should invest in a coolant recovery system, radiator fan or both? If so, can you please direct me to folks that provide these parts?

Thanks,

Danny

After riding in very tight forest single track, we stopped for a regroup and my 06 Fe650e boiled, but only for a few seconds and it only expelled a small amount of coolant out the radiator overflow tube. It may have not been boiling, just expelling excess coolant when it got hot. It was new so the engine was still tight and perhaps the radiator was to full ???? But no problems, all was good and we continued on our way after a small break. No more occurrence of this since.
However I am fitting the factory fan kit as piece of mind in the slow stuff.
Don't know about the recovery system or if it's warranted.
Cheers :D

if you haven't had a problem yet, i wouldn't worry about it. i've never had a problem with mine, even in super low speed silly trails. in general, most dezert stuff is higher-speed than 'desperately clutching in 1st gear', which is the only place i can really imagine a healthy motorcycle overheating.
