I put the side casing back on my engine along with new gaskets and I rings but now the oil has gone cream

Water pump o.ring.
There are different LHS casing gaskets that are available, and if you use a thicker one I needs to be a thicker o ring on the water pump channel to match.

I’m not down with the technical terms
Basically one the 2 o rings that go on the rod for the pump isn’t right so I’ve got coolant in my oil. Luckily I noticed before I wrecked the motor
It’s ok il get my own o ring just bigger then the one you sent

It's not the pump shaft orings we are referring too, it's the water jacket o ring, that sits in a small machined recess around the inlet channel to the waterpump, but it is tge one that is sandwiched by between the left cover casing and the engine casing, when you re install that cover. Not the one on the waterpump shaft.
Taffy's 2.6mm is referring to the thickness of the oring i believe. He has sent what should be fitted to match the new side cover gasket also, but sometimes, for various reasons, you can need a slightly different thickness. I had a job getting mine correct, Prehaps due to a deformed side casing, or the addition of gasket sealer to one side of my paper gasket, they can all make a small difference.

Chances are, the gasket is ruined because of taking it off a few times, I’m just throwing away money now.
So hopefully adding sealer to side casing will help?

To be honest no, I had my casing off sizes of times thinking it was the water jacket o ring at fault, turns out I had mixing from around my main engine crankcase half's, (my error using Incorrect casing sealant)
But as I had my side casing off so much, I ended up cracking the casting around a lower bolt hole, so once I'd tig welded that up, I cleaned off all the faces, and went with a oe thickness paper gasket, just with a smear of grease on either side to aid fitting and so it can come off and be reused again, along with a o.e thickness water jacket oring, and it's been fine for many hours now since its rebuild.
Was a bit of a saga though to be honest, mainly caused by myself lol

sidecover gasket
my thicker gaskets are in blue while my std gaskets are in black.
the W/J o ring should do both as at the end of the day the difference is just 0.2-0.23mm.
I use copper slip on all my gaskets and just keep re-suing them till they go around the outside of the bolt holes.

I'm trying to find the original clutch cover gaskets thickness for my -02 FE650. Checked the owners manual, parts manual and repair manual but nowhere to be found? Surly it should be in there somewhere?
