Getting ready to install engine temp sensor and Need to know which direction the coolant goes. I am going to assume that water comes out of the head before going into the radiator. I want to tap it before it goes into the radiator.
I have a 2010 FE450
Thanks,
Tim

I am not familiar with your bike but most all cooling systems are engineered with similar characteristics..
a rule of thumb i always use would be the coolant from the engine goes into the bottom of the radiator and leaves the top of the radiator and comes back to the engine, two radiators changes things and can be done multiple ways and im not sure how the husaberg is, that rule does appy to my old berg and pretty much every auto made. you could also see where the thermostat is, if you take it out and look at it, the spring side will be on the hot side of the coolant stream from engine and the side that doesnt have the spring on it goes toward the engine. or you could disconnect one hose at a time and bump the starter and see where coolant goes out and sucks in, you will make a mess but you will know..good luck

I hate to directly disagee with someone who has taken the trouble to respond, but what's written above is wrong.

In the engine, cooler water enters at the bottom of the engine and leaves as hotter water at the top.

In the radiator, the hotter water enters at the top and leaves as cooler water at the bottom.

The thermoycle aids the water pump; not impede it.

correct

the coolant is pumped from the pump up and out into the top of the radiator, the cooler it gets the quicker it 'tumbles' down and out the bottom and then at its coolest it goes back through the engine.

you normally try and find out how hot things are at their hottest so the coolant should be checked soon after the pump and on the way to the radiator or if being checked at the radiator it should be done at the top near the entrance.
