Hello,

I'm going to change cam chain, the new one that I buy is with the split-spring clip from Iwis.

In manual from Iwis is written that closed end of spring clip must look in the way of rotation.

I try to look for rotation direction through oil cap and looks like the cam chain travel goes down on front side of cam gear and up through tensioner blade?
By that closed side of spring clip must look to front wheel, i'm I wright?

Is it also important from which side of cam chain is clip putted, left or right?

I just want to be sure, don't want to blow everything.

Another thing is, do you change the cam chain tensioner when you are changing cam chain?

Thanks
regards
Goran

chain goes counter clockwise looking at it from the left. its easier to mount the clip on the outside (left)

I don't understand if you are also asking the blade ?? You can upgrade but

If everything is ok, you only change the chain

No, I was speaking about direction of chain rotation that it goes up through tensioner blade, that was important to me to put spring clip in corect direction.

I buy and modified tensioner blade from Taffy, and will change it.

Do you also change and chain tensioner with chain?
I was looking in manual and it's written that must be changed together with chain?

Regards

If you are talking about that thing that push the balde ?? right ?

The answer is no

You could think about the spring inside, but even that I never changed one

If you bought the modified blade from Taffy, what will you change ??

Hi

Yes I've instaled several chains from Taffy allways with the clip, no problem.

What do you need ?
