Confirmation of 570 'seat off' trick.

Sounds like good advice and I might follow that and save some money. I grew up tuning 2-strokes and I find myself a bit crippled on 4 stroke heads. I guess it's not as much rocket science as I first believed, but there is a big practical difference in machining/change valve seats compared to grind channels.

I will have a look at the general finish and see what the Chezhs did to the head (earlier owners), and if not done I might have someone to help me install bigger inlet valves as I know that there is one restriction in an overall good chain. Or I save that to the future too... Just like my custom exhaust. So much I want to do, so little time....

ok, the 40 intakes will be big enough, no need to up those, again all in my own little world.
Do ports to 29.5 ID and restricting point just before the valve guide.
Exhaust ports I did wider and longer short radius, took a chance as I didnt really know

Hmmm. I remember reading somewhere that they are too small. maKe's thread or maybe it was in the 590/610 threads...? I also read it at Bergos so I had a look. Couldn't find anything but ended up ordering a Husaberg T-shirt, Husaberg towel and a blue gear shifter

Sometimes valves are brought up, it can be correct or it can be from a builder trying to make money, for a 565cc at 9000, 40 valves are way sufficient imo.
I have no thought of doing bigger on my engine, even if I could.
Bigger stuff is the way the human mind figures more, on an engine its not that easy. For an engine you need the combination of stuff.

If this seems like bragging...youre most likely right

Had a real sharp (according to the owner) 490ed kawi 450 in the dyno this weekend, with a Hotcam and a full FMF pipe and as a gentleman I didnt let him see the difference to a tuned 570, but you can
And yes I feel proud, but of course in a submissive type of way, not to stand out...

no replacement for displacement:cool:
I would have expected that 450 would run higher revs/hp

It does, tuned 450cc kawi shines at 9k, very close to 50hp but not just yet, so its the same top end just less mid.
The 490 was actually stronger here than the 570 per cc until 6,5k, which isnt right for a big track bike, after that...
565 to 488 is 15 percent bigger, but top end is 30% better, its the way it is.

I am busy doing the seat mod I also cut a hole in my stock seat but I messed up the foam I will order a new foam kit for my seat and try again....

My bike is on the dyno now currently 62 hp
looks like the cp piston did not realy add a lot getting bigger hp number but it revs better it gets 60 hp from 8 all the way to 10 000 rpm
(I never even revved the bike myself to 10 because at 9 I think its gonna explode:p )
