A Confession,After several years and many bikes later ive found the courage to buy a new husaberg.
My fear started about 1993 when the six days were being held in my country the netherlands.
I was side ways involved by a few regional guys who decided to ride the six days on husabergs 501.
These bikes sometimes exploded by only reving them up ,lots of small parts must be modified to get them to the finish.We even made cast aluminium ignition covers with 2 hoses up under the gastank to keep the sem (swedish electric mystery)ignition cool .At that time i bought a husqvarna 610 te.Why now buying a fe 570? because i was always very big 1,95 high,but now im am also heavy (115 kg). most of the time from 1981 i rode 500 cc two strokes.hca 430,hva 500,and at least 6 honda cr 500 mixed up with Ktm gs 600,lc4,xr 600,ktm 520 racing( 540 kit),ktm 525racing(576 kit) After having 2 months a bmw g 450 x (terrible adventure) 2009 i bought a wr yam. 450 and beefed it up with a 480 cc rinaldi racing kit.I rode last month 10 minutes with a fe 570 and had such a good feeling that i bought a new one straight away,dealer putted the right mapping in it.Am i realy faster with it ? only my friends can tell but the good feeling was there direct.before i rode it my suspension specialist putted the right springs in the fork and on the rear shock and changed them internal,i removed the catalysator,drilled holes in the under side of the fender,and cut open the upper part of the skid plate,changed gear in 14/50,mounted home made steer risers,and higher seat,michelin ac 10 rear tyre.rode now about 600 km with it and yes i am very happy with it
