Hello to you all, this is my first post, as I waited for today. I'm clockwatching, tonight I pick up my FE650, it's on a 04 plate, has 17" excel rims on talon hubs and a full akropovic race system fitted. It needs a bit of tlc here and there but the engine is sweet, and christ! Dont these things go!!! I cant wait....... I will post pics as soon as, and no doubt will be on here picking your brains. My other bike is a CCM FT35s.

Re: Collecting my 'berg this afternoon

Getting my Berg soon and I cant wait to go thru it. Oldie but I hope goodie. 1997 FX501E. Many obstacles beforeI put it on the road. 1 title; 2 inspection; in Texas yet; 3 sorting it out; 4 starting etc. Other scoots---1999 BMW R1900S---1979 Husky Auto NR. Hoping I can use some of youalls expertise.

Got it home, took it for a blast round the country lanes, wow. It highlighted a few issues, no preload on rear, fork seals ( I'll be in touch Taffy ) suspension settings all to ****. It has already eaten a pair of £300 'crosser boots, ripped the toe off, due to bad technique on the kickstarter. But I love it. Gonna take some pics this weekend.

Eeek!

Still, so long as it was only the toe on your nice boot and not the one on your foot...

Got her home . Starts great every time. I think that a previous owner put in a aftermarket starter. I have been studying the internet for all the info on Husabergs. It took me about 50 hours of intense study to learn all about My new/used BMW R1100S. The owners doc was a big help even though it is specialized on 2001 and up. I will have to go all thru the bike just to find the things that have allready been fixed. I have already put about 30 hours into just the study of the Berg. Thanks for the welcome. Im still pumped!

I know what you mean, I keep studying the owners and workshop manuals, did an oil change last night, glad I did, 'cause the oil in it was as black as hell. Cleaned the air filter as well. Tonight I'll return the suspension settings to stock as a starting point and next week it's having the fork seals done and MOT.
