Clutch, pressure but no effect

Hi all

In a moment of madness I decided to undo the clutch slave cylinder and set the oil/fluid free. Yeah I know, not a good plan.

Anyway I've put it all back together, refilled and bled the system. The pressure is there and feels harder than it did before. However it just won't operate.

If you put the bike in gear and try move it it simply digs in, it's not as strong as it would be without the clutch applied but still bloody hard.

Any suggestions?

Could I have not put it back on correctly?

Is it possible to remove the slave and operate the clutch to see that it is operating ??

I'll try taking it off later and replacing it. I've got a couple litres of fluid so may aswell

yes, break the system down. does the clutch slave move? is the rod long enough...does it need a pill on the end? does the lever move completely free from the piston? look for bubbles.. (you know bubbles, she's the good time girl down the street. anyone seen bubbles? aaah! there she is!).

It worked perfectly before I took the thing off lol. I only did it as it looked easier than removing the stator as the cable / hose was twisted.

pretty much everytime, you must start with a new O ring on the piston.
