hello, i've just picked up an 02 fe650, but the clutch doesn't seem to fully disengage? it felt like it needs bleeding as when you put it in gear its trying to pull forward with the clutch in, and you only have to let the lever out a few mil before its pulling hard, i have tried bleeding it but its still the same?
thanks

oh and its been stood up for quite a while, my old gasgas 250 trials bike used to do this and as soon as i rode it, it would be fine, is this just the same, just needs riding?

Hi

That can be a couple of things, but ot riding isn't one of them

You can have the clutch basket with bad grooves, your clutch hose could be going out (before it blows it starts to expand a bit), the o-rings of the clutch cilinder might be out (you should loose the mineral oil), the seals from the magura can be out, but most likely the steel plates are out.

You can try one fix for the disks, one pneumatic tool with a rotating sand disk, you do some radial grooves, so the oil will get easily between them when you pull the clutch and will open.

looks like they were just stuck together after being laid up for a while, took it out this morning and it freed up lovely, now the clutch bites exactly where it should and its stayed like it
thanks
