Clutch interchangability?

Interchangabilty? Is that even a word? Anyway does anyone know if post 2K clutch parts are interchangable with pre 2k stuff. I'm Looking to replace my inner and outer baskets (2000 FE600) and there have been several 2002 versions on e-bay recently.

If you look at the 2002 parts guide it typically lists the first year a part was used. In the case of the clutch, the pressure plate and inner hub look to be compatible. The Basket is not though.
