Clutch cover excessive wear from the rear brake lever

Has anyone else got issues with their rear brake lever causing excessive wear on the clutch cover. My bike is only 1500klms old but it looks like I need to replace the cover already... and no it hasn't been dropped hard on the side. :?

It doesn't take much to bend the lever into the cover. Get a big adjustable wrench and close the wrench flats over the end of the brake lever and use the leverage to tweak it out and away from the cover a little bit.

Thanks for the feedback :) .
I'll try tweaking the lever abit, didn't think that they would be so easy to bend!!!
Do either of you guys rate the carbon fibre guard to give more protection?

Thanks Tazer for the link, I like your repair, I will be busting out the tig to add the same peice of plate.
What is the Hyde cover that you run made out of?
