I wonder if there is a catch, like import duty, GST or you can't register it as it doesn't have an Australian Compliance plate?

All of the above Davo. They would still work out cheaper tyhan here, but the big killer is the Compliance plate. Customs are supposed to also STAMP the frame at the V.I.N. stating that it can not be regod.

I have seen a few imported dirt bikes go cheapy cheap on ebay due to this stamping of the frame. But the owners have not said much so the buyer would be getting a true dud.

awesome but ya gotta pay the 10% gst right at the end when shipping costs have been added to the good's value, duty calculated on that and added.
