He may be gone from KTM/Husaberg, but Clay has decided to join up with 70 Degree Racing, and we are really excited about Clay being part of our team!!!

Clay brings 30+ years in the industry, and a rider's enthusiasm to 70 Degree Racing. :cheers:

After reading the "C YA Clay" post that is great news for 70 Degree Racing, this fella Clay sounds like a legend.

We have several other things coming down the line at 70*, we've out grown our website so to speak, not enough buy buttons available, so our site administrator is getting us set up to add more items there.

good to hear.

On a different subject get the web master to change;

* Fire Fox users, if you have problems viewing this site, please use Internet Explorer

to;

* Fire Fox users, please use Internet Explorer.

1st time users arent going to know there is a problem with the buttons not showing and you might loose sales.

Not to be a stick in the mud Dale, but you should really push your web-dude to make the site palatable for all browsers. A visitor using FF is likely to leave before swapping browsers. Currently, over 10% of this site's visitors are on Firefox. It's bad business to ask 10% of your clientele to jump through some extra hoops to give you money.

The more quickly you decide to fix it, the less it will cost, in terms of time. There isn't a systems administrator out there that would tell you it's not a form of suicide to force users to change browsers to use your site.

thanks,

I couldn't agree more Schwim. Thanks for the stat on how many users here us FF, me being one of them. It seems to me that it would be simple line of code that is the problem. The older versions of FF work, it's the new versions that don't. The version I have 2.0.0.9, on my lap top works. I personally don't see why these folks can't just load FF on their computer and figure it out from there as FF is free.

Well, if there's a site designer that's not testing in all popular browsers, you've found a person that shouldn't be a site designer :)

The problem that the growing popularity of WYSIWYG editors have given us a horde of web site designers that don't actually have the ability to code. If they're using an editor that's out of date(or designed by an Evil Empire like Frontpage), then you're going to get code that' doesn't work with many of today's popular browsers.

Your site code is being generated by Intuit's automated site builder software. To give you an idea of the archaic nature of this system, in the head of the code, you'll find javascript relating to how to handle Internet Explorer 5.5, a browser that was retired 9 years ago. So in effect, your site's code is more worried about how to handle a browser that has less than a .5% user base and was retired almost a decade ago than it is a browser that over 10% of your visitors are using.

You should seriously consider straightening it out now if you're hoping for prime time exposure. I speak from experience when I say that it's easier to deal with these types of problems on a small scale than it is to allow them to fester while the site gains in popularity.

Very sorry for derailing the warm-fuzzy thread of the news concerning Clay. In comparison, the addition of Clay to your fold is much more exciting. Hopefully he'll hang out with us a bit more <nudge-nudge-wink-wink>.

thanks,

Don't forget Google Chrome! I use it almost exclusively, it works great for most stuff... But, there are more than a few sites that it won't fully work with..

when i read this thread i immediately did a google search for "70 degree racing" you guys are the first result, but the front page puzzled me for a few minutes bc there was no browsing...
for those of us with alternative OS's internet explorer is not an option
