Checking oil level... '11 Fe570

Ok, this might sound silly (coming from me, that's almost a given :D), but when I go to check my oil level via the little sight glass/level on the right (behind the clutch cover), I can't see *****. It's like the glass itself is dark, so seeing a dark liquid through it is difficult at best...

Suggestions?

when I first got mine, I had trouble seeing it too. Turned out the sight glass was a little bit faulty and the dealer replaced it.... with another sight glass that was only JUST A TINY bit better at viewing the oil level. I use a flashlight now :)

I had the same problem. The problem is that you cannot tell the difference between completely full (or overfilled) and completely empty, there is no bubble to see. If the oil level is down a little, as is shown in the picture, is quite obvious. A flashlight helps.

After my first oil change, I also could not see the bubble. I knew I put enough oil in, according to the specs, but could not see the level. After the second oil change, I made sure I left a bit out so I could check the level.

I also use a flashlight, but also lean the bike over to see the oil level move. I usually keep the level in the middle when the bike is upright.
