Check this out! Enduro/ Hare Scramble video

When ever I get all hairy, I now have the scariest enduro film (150 MB) to watch. Man I didn't like rocks, now I hate them. Those guys have got to be crazy to ride those rocks on those mountains. Watching the radiator explode on a KTM, and another one take off like a RPG in a field of dog house sized rocks on the side of a mountain that I would be afraid to walk on, and those hill climbs!

I sure hope Slippery Rock is milder that that....

I do miss all the motorcycle coverage I used to watch when I was in Germany. I would have been nice to hear the interview with Alfie Cox. Thanks for the link to the video.

I've seen that one also. Looks like that one would also be a ***** to complete!

those down hills claimed a few victims. It looks like fun as long as I'm just playing, not racing.

The link seems to be gone! Too bad, but anyway: I used to race this race, as a bloody amateur. A 4 days event: you arrive Thursdays, put your tent up and party. Friday and Saturday, there are qualifying runs (like Pike's Peak, 10 mls uphill, with wide open throttle), and the fastet 500 out of about 1200 maniacs qualify for the hare scramble. Out of these 500, maybe 50 make it within the 4 hours to cross the finish line. It is not the distance, maybe 15 mls or so, it is the amount of people trying to make it up the same hill at the same time. About 20 % never make to the first of 10 or 20 checks ...
BUT: I have been there 3 times, I never hurt myself, besides massive damages to my self-esteem, and I would love to go back once or twice ...
