Hi all,
A couple of years ago when trying to source a YTZ-7S the only source was through Husaberg themselves- and it wasnt cheap.

Yuasa did not bring the YTZ-7S into the country.

Now it seems there are a number of companies churning out "YTZ-7S" batteries- but do their specs compare to the higher CCAs of the genuine Yuasas?

Or are the just low grade cheap nasty cr@p spewed out by a low grade manufacturer in a developing country using the YTZ-7S designation- and thats all they share with the original Yuasas??

Anyone tried one of the clones-???

i heard yuasa made batteries for other manufactureers and badged them. i believe the yuasa produces 130CCA doesn't it? it's in the doc.

compare the CCA figure.

regards

Taffy

Taff,
Yeah I know the genuine has 130 CCA- because Yuasa supply technical specs........

But a quick search on the manufacturere of the "clones" didnt turn up any tech specs at all.....hmmmmm. Thats why I am a bit wary about them

Its my understanding that Yuasa pretty much own every battery manufacturer on this planet. The first letter on the battery # determiines the country on origin.Since there is nothing good about the handling and munufacturing of a lead acid battery , its manufacturing process is a environmental nightmare, yuasa is constantly on the search to find new developing nations to do this process.Hence we see a constant supply of off brands all using similar codes. The batteries should all be the same inside, some of the newer factories I can only imagine are using high content, low priced labor in less than safe working conditions. Many of the low priced batteries offer a surprising long warranty,so ask around.
