Can someone try and shed light on my problem...
New 2011 390 owner installing new chain/sprockets with stock 520 118 link chain and 13/52 sprockets..

Proble is chain seems too long as the adjusters are completely maxed out to the rear with a still loose chain.

Don't wanna cut a chain link if there is Something I'm missing..
Adjusters are turned correctly..

Any help appreciated !

You are so correct...puzzling why everything I read says 118 link...I guess better long than short...took a link out..good to go..

Thanks !

i think your mistake was elementary. you can't buy 116L from most manufacturers, you have to get 114L or 118L so when you ask; "which chain do i want?"

The reply will be that; "you need 118L".

elementary my dear Watson!

Yep as easy as taking a link out....

Used bike I bought came with the 118 link incorrect chain for the 13/52 stock sprockets..

Husaberg owners manual references the 13/52 sprockets but not the 520 ...116 link chain..

Love this helpful forum.
