ok i'm swapping out the springs to some heavier ones i have on the shelf.

fork springs are fine but the rear spring is a different matter.

its a ktm spring that ive used on several bikes.

and on fitting it i realised its actually 2.5mm wider that the standard husaberg spring so the narrow gap between the exhaust and the standard spring is now virtually non-existant.

think i'm going to order a new spring as i dont fancy wearing a hole in my exhaust.

It's cheaper to shim the exhaust out a few mil. You would want to do that with an OEM spring anyways. There are a few initial reports of the OEM springs hitting. It was one of the first things I did, as the tires seem to hit the exhaust as well at times.

looked at that.

will give shimming out the silencer a go

everything feels alot more balanced front to rear now.

Holy crap ... I was counting on being able to transfer my PDS-4 directly over from my '08 KTM 450 EXC-R to my '10 Husaberg FE 390... 8O

Please post your results, Cypher... many thanks! E-Ticket

It's not a problem. Running a KTM spring on my 09. Ther biggest problem is the color :(

I repainted mine white. Took my time and bought good paint. It's holding up well. I did sandblast mine at work
though.

yeah been running the spring since i've had thre bike and it all seems fine.

though i have spaced the exhaust out a few mm

Ditto. I did the same. Shimmed out the exhaust a bit and no problems so far running a Race Tech PDS-4 spring and an Akropovic slip-on exhaust.

Cheers! E-Ticket

Yup, I think everybody who has a '09 or later noticed that the tires hit the exhausts from time to time. Mine do. People have said that aftermarket exhausts don't, but that the stock exhaust is more durable in its mounting.

That's right my akra just rubs on the biggest of hits but so did my yz and both crs
