I need help!!
Could someone recommend me which carburettor will fit to my FE 600 (1998 model)??

Many thanks.

The Keihin FCR is what seem to be the prefered choice of the aftermarket ones. There is lots of info in the forum. I thought about this as well then decided to dial in my OEM carb and the bike starts with half a stroke on the kick now. You have the same OE as my 99 FE 50.

Hi Chichor,

If you look on ebay there is a FCR39 and an FCR41 there being sold out of Germany not to sure where you are, could be a big saving on new.

chichor

welcome mate and hope you enjoy meeting us all.

a 41mm will always be the best (sorry sparks!) but they make silly money. the 39 doesn't give anything away until 6th gear on a 400 and perhaps not on yours till 4th or so.

the carb can be bored out to 42mm no problem. see the owners doc for how too.

Hi Taffy,

I just thought the 39mm might draught the air better bottom and mid range and the 41mm more for top endish.

I should really bye a Berg might give more right to talk about them we'll see what father christmas brings HO HO HO.

understand sparks but as you can see from above, it even helped my little ****!

lineaweaver has also stated that the 41 helps every single husey, they are all undercarbed.

i have bored two 39s to 41 now and only regret that i have a 1mm lip all the way around the rim of the belmouth to carb for no good reason. next time 42mm and far better flow!

Taffy

Hi Taffy,

Nicely put, I stand corrected this is what happens when you make comments when your not complacent with the model I didn't know they were under carburatted to begin with.

Hi!
I'm here again, sorry but I'm spanish and my english is quite poor!!!
Also I have not experience in this forum , but hope to enjoy with all of you.
Thanks to Taffy too for your warm welcome.

This is my first Husaberg and all of your comments will be very welcome!!
OK, I think I will buy the 41 bacause I will use also my Berg for Supermotard too.

Just one more question: Original setting of this carb will be OK for my bike??

Many thanks!!!

RE: Re: Carburettor for my FE 600 1998 model

NO!!!!

the carb will come with all the wrong settings in it. most of those on UHE that tune the FCR are very close on things like the pilot jet, starter jet, but we are either running a needle good for bottom end torque called the D series or a needle good for top end called the E series. finally we have the lineaweaver needle which combines the two.

one other thing wa disagree on here is the MJ size. from as little as 150 all the way up to 180. you'll find them all here!

go into the doc as usual...

Taffy

chichor

on the left of your screen are the words 'owner's doc!' and many answers are there.

you'll find all the answers here means that there are many, many views on the correct carburation unfortunately...so good luck there!

UHE means this site > the Unofficial Husaberg Enthusiasts or UHE for short.

if you're really fed up with MY english talk to bobzilla as he speaks spanish and so do some of the boys from near mexico.

good luck and remember to read the owner's doc for hours and hours ok?

regards

Taffy

Thanks Taffy, really thanks.

No Taffy, I'm not fed up with your english, of course not!!
It's just a problem of MY english level.
And of course I would like to continue enjoying talking with you more.
That's why I asked you to be patient with me.

Best Regards

Chichor
