Hi, Does anyone know where I can get the E-Line Accessories carbon fibre Hearder Guard in the UK. Or will I have to order direct from the manufacturer. Or the Meca System carbon header guard it seems to be a similar product. I'm fed up burning holes in my trousers.

Motocomposites has them
if you want pm me I have photos & details on them & the 09 & 010 stuff as well

just fitted a piere performance P3 header guard. works just fine and looks alot better made than many

I also just installed the P3 guard. Excellent quality and easy installation. You wont be disappointed.

Howdy guys. I have just put on the Akro Carbon heat shield. Still surprised at how much heat comes off the actual shield. I assume that enough of the heat has been taken out (as opposed to straight of the header) so that ride pants etc won't get burnt. Anyone else have thoughts or experiences with the Akro????

Cheers.

No they cost to much & don't offer any protection shouldve got the motocomposites header shield

[attachment=0:9u59foow]GUARD ON BIKE small file.jpg[/attachment:9u59foow] For the header pipe I have a cool heat shield. Made from Aircraft grade exhaust resins it will take the heat, mounts nicely with all hardware included, no welding required. I have some extras [email protected]

I got tired of burning my pants and boots on the header (when I fall my foot is sometimes trapped between the header and something else) so I looked around and the P3 seems to cover the most header pipe, so I ordered it through my dealer.

I also burned a big hole in my new pants on the silencer last time I went riding (the bike fell and my lower leg was trapped under the silencer for about 30 seconds before I could get loose) so I am going to wrap the silencer with the tape I have left from wrapping the header under the tank.

It doesn't take long to burn through synthetics.

Just mounted my heat shield from DMOC..

After two pairs of pants, I thought $70 for a heat shield was fair insurance..

Thane was great, The part was delivered in a couple of days.. Installation was a breeze..

Seriously looking at the other protection for the side covers..

i just got me header guard from DMOC.

From postman to installed took 10min.
Excellent instructions, looks good too.

I picked up one of those guards from DMOC too, it's AWESOME!!! Extra thick carbon fiber, super easy to install, and you can't beat the price! I've had it on for at least 6 months, it's survived everything, i think its the only thing on my bike that's not been abused? Definitely worth picking up!!

Motocomposites developed the first ones for the berg & are still the only ones to offer more coverage & protection than the others. Theyve sold hundreds in the US , Australia & Europe since the 70deg engine was introduced,& are copied by other companies .
Check them out on ebay
