Hello.
Just started my 400 -00 with 501 FC exhaust system.
The bike won`t run on higher rpm`s just popping and hesitating.
Floatheight is ok.
Have new Dr272 and K51
Tried PJ 33, 35 ,45, 55
MJ 175, 180, 185, 195.
SJ 45
Tried needle in all positions
With the MJ 195 and PJ 55 and neddle in 1 groove it runs better but not perfekt and starts not so easy as it does with the MJ 180 PJ 35.
Can it be the 501 FC exhaust system that fu**s it up?

no, the system lets the gases move and now you must alter things to make it better. i would try a little more advance on the ignition as a test. then i would try a 205 MJ.

once the top end is sorted you need to play with the bottom end through working the PA hole and the slide cutaway.

When making big changes & runnability is poor try restricting the air intake with tape,
towl or something cause the lack of air will not hurt your engine in any way.Also
gets you moving in the right direction sooner. Hope this helps.
 
Yes!

Found that i had one more step to move the needle and changed the PJ to 35 and whoops, it starts easy and are almost perfekt at higher rpm`s.
Have to take a trip with it tomorrow and see how the 400 is compared to the 501 in the tricky tracks.
Not the same chassi but see if i can feel bigger difference in the "drivability" with the smaller engine.
But i don`t like the sound from the FC 501 exhaust system it is little bit to loud, will find out tomorrow how loud it is in the track.

It is to loud and still little hesitating on highest rpm`s but in endurotracks it works very good, it is 2 below zero here now so a 205 MJ perhaps would be perfekt.
Starts in 3 kicks cold and first when warm.
