Sorry if these are repetitive questions thats been asked before, I appreciate your wisdom with any answer that may be helpful.
With the carburetor, the shaft of the choke lever is a little stiffer after a few rides, my starting procedure requires it's use, whats the best lubricant? Will a shot of WD40 due, or is there any parts in there that could be harmed by using the wrong lube. I heard some lubes cause damage to O-rings and seals or may gather dust. The owners manual says to keep it lubed but thats all. Anybody have a favorite remedy.

I'm interested in getting one of those Scotts stainless microfilters if someone can refer me to a retailer. I also need a place I can pick up other parts like valve cover gaskets, oil plug washers, hoses and stuff like that in the US. I can probably find something online, but I'd rather support someone you recommend by giving them my business.
- Help is appreciated

What I did was I use a little motor oil.The last time I had my carb off and apart I first sprayed carb cleaner down where the choke passage is then after that dryed gave it a little shot of WD-40.I put a little motor oil on the rubber plunger and then reassembled. For just lubing the choke lever and such use a little motor oil and flip the choke lever up and down a few times. That will keep it from getting stiff and such{it doesn`t take much}Hope this helps.
