fc is supermoto i think but what is fe and fx. i have year 2000 501fe abd my engine broke u guts thunk i couls fit an 1999 fx600 engine in it if i change carbu.. and exhaust. im just an beginer with bikes and learning

fe is enduro and trail
fc is mx i think
and fx is cross country
there are many people here that have swopped engines here but i don't know the pitfalls of doing this. try to do many searches and you'll find out quite a bit.

back in cottonwood, az
the elec start motors use a different frame from the kickstart models. if putting a k/s model in place of an elec start, it may fit. but putting an elec start in place of a k/s...forget it. the frame is bowed out in front to clear the starter motor, but not on the k/s model. if they are both the same, you should be able to swap. just make sure you can live with the difference in trans gearing.
