I'm doing the same thing as we speak! If you look in the wiki part of this site then look up poor starting it will tell you all about updating your 470. I'm using the suggestion of the Yamaha R6 starter in this forum. It's a lot stronger than my wimpy 2001 starter and looks like the modifications required are minimal?
