Camchain Upgrades? (2000 FC600)

Hi everyone,
I'm going to tear into the motor to investigate the oil smoke issue (see separate post).
Whilst I'm doing this, I plan to replace the camchain, as it's used up almost all of the travel on the tensioner.
What upgrades will work on my year 2000 FC600?
I see most of the upgrades mentioned on 'the doc' are for '01 & '02 models.
Cheers.

If I remember correctly the older (pre 01) camchains were actually a much better chain than the 01-02 chains. The 05 and up chain is a D.I.D. I believe and is considered to be the best of the bunch so far. As far as fitment goes I don't know but I am sure someone here does. Also Dale Lineaweaver has or had some high end chain for sale at one point.

I was sent a Regina cam chain or so called for my 04 550 didn't fit right and the rollers had seems in stead of being seemless.
I ordered a DID fit perfect and the rollers were seemless.
But I think the DID was for 04 onwards not sure what was used prior to this.

Regards

Sparks.
