Just confirming that if i removed the clutch basket, and during some moments of inepttitude, happened to move the timing gear (but did not remove the camchain) that all i have to do is line up the marks as identified in the image above and my timing should be back to normal correct?

I'm gonna say yes. Just roll the two dots back together. Hopefully you had them lined up before you took out the clutch.

firgive me, and if you lived closer i would let you slap me upside the head but i really did not pay much attention as all i was "planning" on doing was reinstalling the kickstart,

does it matter if i did not have them lined up intially? if so, can i just place the piston in TDC using the "pencil" method, and make sure the valves are in the correct open and closed position and then make sure the Dots Lineup?

your monkey with with a wrench

just line up the dots and lay a ruler through the eyes of the gears. close your left eye and try and hold yer head central.

it's actua;;y quite hard to get right!

no kidding!

drop the clutch gear in when ready. remember if this won't drop it's because your plastic oil pump gear needs twiddling a bit!
