I have question.
What tools do you use to rivet IWIS cam chain?

Husaberg OEM tool?
Maybe KTM tool also works?

Yup, them split links are so much more convenient than the press links.

I used an old crank pin and a ball hammer. The crank pin is used as an 'anvil' on the back of the link while I tap the pins with the ball hammer to get them to flatten.

Maybe not the best way, but it works. Be careful to not tap too much with the hammer and cause the links to bind.

I have only press link.
Husaberg rivet tool costs almost 190£
Taffy do you sell split links separately?
Is this split link is safe?

Hi
Always have used split link without a problem, and it's much more easy to work.

i use an old drive chain link press and replace the drive pin with a piece of drill bit ground to a point. i put a bolt in the hole in back to hold the link in place while pressing.

you can also just use a block of steel as a backing plate behind the chain and a ball pein hammer to peen the other end

I have split link but I don't know in which direction that timing cam is rotating - right or left?

same direction as the engine, movement is downward on the left hand side of the sprocket in the pic

you have it started on the right pin

if in doubt fit the kickstart lever temporarily and check it
