Does anyone know if I can just replace the cam follower bearing on my 2005 fe550. I hear there is ktm part but can't find any info.

I think they are diferent for the 01-03 bikes ?? Do you know if there are any that can be fited there ??

that price of $75 is 100%/double what you'd pay me. they are $36 in the UK.

the earlier ones are a lot more expensive Zaga

they pick on old bergers!

the site I linked has them for $23 :p

ZAGA there are some wider ones for the older bikes husaberg part# is 200 019 01
 
Yeah I'm in a hurry as always, missing riding time.
Seems I might need a new sleeve $600 locally, Woosner piston $200 compared to $700 genuine.

I keep spares of almost everything I might need, kinda sounds good then I realized on the weekend I can almost build a second bike up from it all :D

yours being a 550 the wossner is a good option, for anyone with a 628 though check out the latest wossner catalog it has the pin sizes listed so you can work out which KTM piston will fit if you machine a bit off the top.
 
I would have 3 week wait for the genuine sleeve, talked to Electrosil in Melbourne they reckon they have done plenty of them, still $440. 2-3 day turn around.
It's getting out of hand for one buggered bearing......I guess it was due though.
Also getting new valves and having the ports cleaned up.
 
hi just wondering if somebody knows if the cam followers are the same from a 2005 fe550 to a 2005 fs650e. If so the P/N from KTM 590036061090 should fit in my bike.

I don't think so

but its just a bearing, it might be available elsewhere as another part for another engine perhaps even a car engine

I've searched and didn't find. Do you know the diference beetwen the old and the new, is it the shaft ?

not sure Zaga, I imagine the newer ones could be made to fit

or just fit an entire newer rocker arm assy + rocker pin

If I'm remembering correctly info should be in the doc i think.
 
just a little update. KTM P/N 59036061090 is a direct replacement for the rocker bearing from a 2005 fs650e. I received the part today and measured it. PERFECT!
 
We knew that it fits 2004 to 2008.
possibly the 2003 but im not sure.
it's the older ones that are the problem
