Can anyone tell me if the 2004 fs/fe650 iwis cham chain is compatable with the 2005 model that has a different part number? i am guessing its a DiD but not sure. Price of 2005 is $51.70Aus less than half the 2004 iwis one. Also are they the same length so you can use in 2004 motor? :cheers:

Hi Birdwoodberg,

Yes both iwis and DID are very good used both with no problems, the length remains the same for the 2004/5, in 2005 I think they updated the cam chain tensioner arm.

Cool just save me about $60 plus thanks. Yes i am getting a new 2005 tensioner too they are said to be better thanks again.
 
The parts guy said the part number for both a link and the whole chain is no longer availible ?
 
I just called BOSS and he has everything I need and said the flakes and the issue were mustlikely the camchain, so I'm all set.
