Cam chain adjust protocol

2002 FE400. My first Husaberg, finally, and wanting to make sure things are in check.

I'm aware of the recommended upgrades to both timing chain and slipper but have been unable, through searching this site as well as owners and workshop manuals, to find the proper procedure for adjusting the cam chain tensioner. I'd certainly appreciate a quick note on the proper method of setting the tensioner.

Regards,
Pete

it sets itself.
take it off by pulling the center bolt and spring, then the 2 screws. pull the plunger out and see how far it goes to full extend to know when it's time to change the chain. to reinstall, release the ratchet and push the plunger in, reinstall using the 2 screws. using a small screwdriver or whatever fits in the hole, gently push the plunger til it hits the chain. reinstall the spring and bolt.

what about a mechanical cam chain tensioner ?

very simple design and less pressure on the cam chain and guide when set up correctly

do a search. tensioners were discussed ad nauseum a few years ago i think by sparks and taffy.
