Buying tools for engine repair

Hi.

In parts manual is a number of tools that one should use
for repairing his Husaberg: pullers, holders, ...

So, I wanted to buy a crankcasse puller at our dealer in Slovenia,
but they do not want to sell it to me. They said that they are
not allowd to sell tools for engine repairs?!

Is that a praxis of all dealers?
Do tdey not want to sell it just beacuse they would like to repair my
engine and earn a little?
Or what?

Actually, I do not see that should be a problem since it is part of
parts manual.

Did any of you experienced that?

Basically, I can get it in neghbouring Austria (I think), but anyway, I think
our dealer is acting a little strange.

What do you think?

Nice day.

Klemen,

I'd definitely agree with you there. It seems a shame they're unwilling to sell the tools to you.

They probably are worried that they won't get any work from you, but in truth that is short sighted because they now risk not selling you any parts either!

Oh well.

There is a good chance that the tools are not available :( . I have found in the auto industry there are all of these special tools. Alot of the times they are not even available, especially with the Japanese manufacturers.

Sir,

I ended up making all the tools needed to work on my berg. They are actually quite simple to make, not necessarily requiring access to a machine shop.

I found the same thing, but instead the Husaberg tool simply didn't exist, and hence was unavailable.

Good luck!

Husaberg special tools are indeed available as in addition to several custom made pieces I have purchased all of the OEM.

Kind Regards,

Luckily, most of those tools realy are not hard to be made at home.

I was able to buy flywheel puller last year, and that is why I was so
surprised with my dealer's response.

Thanks guys.

Klemen
