Hey everyone I am thinking about buying an '06 enduro, as well as a second set of street rims. I currently own a buell xb12x anda dr 650. I want to sell both and buy one bike. I'm juts wondering about maintance and reliability? Can I do 5000 km trips on these things? anyways just want to hear the good and bad about these bikes!

Thanks

Dave

Yes you want one.....but you will want to keep the Buell for the 5k trips

what exactly is gonna cost alot... and you're saying no to the 5k trip becuase? I dont care abotu comfort I just like to ride a lot

sir

you see the berg range are more a racebike than a tourer .

they need regular maintenance .

probably the best bike on the market IMO .

' gonna cost alot ' is his signature

ahh ok cool I just dont want to replace a sleve eevry 5000 km 20000 km would be allright! I want one uase sports bikes are crazy off road riding rocks and I can spank most sport riders in the twisties on this and ride off road and comute to work woot!

windaddiction,

The Husaberg bikes are not extended range road machines. They only have an oil capacity of about 900-950ml. Having only a quart of oil in your bike, changing the oil is recommended every 5hrs of ride time or ~ 200miles. These bikes have tight tolerances, high compression, minimum of moving parts and weight..... in short, a high performance race machine. If interstate travel is your thing, stay with the Buell as Ken mentioned or one of those hot Goldwing cruisers [-X . If weekend road mashing is what you have in mind than the Husaberg is right up your alley.

ps. To answer your question,:director: YES.. you do want one of these beasts! Welcome to the site Dave :thumbright:

My last bike was a ktm 300, i had no idea that thier could be such a huge improvement in suspension. For the off road, tight or fast and open this the 06 husaberg is the way to go. they handle very well and have the perfect power delivery. the only downside i could see was the left hand kick, but i picked it up on only my third ride. they are extremly easy to start(boss started mine with his hand!!). but remember the kick is only on initial start up, after that you have the easy button :D

I change my oil every 100 miles and the filter every third oil change. The air filter gets clened every other ride unless it was especailly dusty.
