i wonder if buying from europe to us (condidering the actual $\€ ratio) is less expensive considering the big shipping cost.

is there any dealer out there with some kind of pricelist or an ecommerce site to see the prices and compare them? how much would the shippings cost?

Hi Pastullo,

I brought a scotts damper from BRP in the US and had it purchased and shipped to Aust for nearly half australian off the shelf price. only 7 days in the post from California to Kangaroo Island!

as long as the conversion rate is good, it seems a good way to go.

Azza.

A pair of Italian Gaerne SG 10 boots goes for $309.99 from bto in the states, I wonder what you will have to pay for the same boots in a shop in Italy? Not fully twice as much?
It is just so bizarre, in these days, that the cost will drop after the stuff is almost being transported halfways around the globe and then back to where it came from. But it is an opportunity an individual can not say no to.
Regards

Yes the price of dollar is good for shoping from US!I also bought a lot of things for my berg but much more for a crf of my friend. For example I bought a new renthal twinwall for 90 euros icluding the shipping cost from us an with express mail!!!In greece that would cost me 170 euros.

I ussually buy from ebay, bid or ebay stores.Germany,Itally,Austria,UK and USA are the countries that I search.I had bought a couple of parts from other sites but I dont remember them.I would sugest you to try the bikebandit. The thing is that they dont send parts to Greece so I dont have feedback.

Agree it is bizarre. Then we want to debate whether Global Warming is real or not!!

I can't talk but... I have bought both new used stuff out of US, Canada and the UK and got it cheaper than just down the road.

Be careful with shipping costs if you want to get stuff from the UK. While parts seem cheap there, the Oz dollar exchange rate with the Pound is not good. Trevor Parnham [email protected] is a UK freight forwarder who can send smallish stuff for a quarter the price of Royal Mail. Even with freight, a RGV rear wheel I got from UK was about two thirds what it would have cost from Melbourne.

Make sure you also go directly into ebay.com , ebay.co.uk and any other country's ebay site you wish. Often when contacted, sellers from other counties will ship overseas if you seem genuine, even if they have not listed international shipping. If you just click "worldwide" on your local ebay site you only get sellers who have listed international shipping.
