I blame the 2 of you for not having an intervention with our poor confused brother. Now I want you both to say 100 hail Husabergs each, with your right hands on the service manual of your choice :D

Sorry lads.
Had to give the KTM 525exc a chance, here in the UK there doing some cracking deals on the 05`s. As for Husaberg i think KTM are giving them a right bending over. Attention to detail is far better on the KTM you can`t tell me that KTM can`t pass this on to the Bergs (poor relation). A big part of me will always be blue and yellow but for now i`m orange :tear: Not been out for a spin yet but i`ll post a report when i do (if anyone is interested)

p.s. Gruntunberg has`nt spoken to me in a week!!!

I wouldn't be sorry for anything. Ride what you enjoy. Enjoy your pumpkin. My brother loves his.

thanks,

Been there, done that...

The Ktoom's are dead reliable and they do run great. But man are they boring when ridden side-by-side with a Berg...

I posted this on the wrong topic string
earlier.

After riding a 520EXC compared to my
FX470 this is what I noticed imediantly.
The KTM does not steer as well and shakes
it head more, the KTM has more lowend
grunt and the motor is quieter.Seats are
about the same, the KTM granite, the Husaberg
a little softer(shale or hardwood?).The Husaberg
has a little lower seat for shorter people. The
KTM gastank fits between your legs better.
Now for options, getting a softer seat and larger
fuel tank for the KTM is easier.Finding a nearby
dealer is easier. The Husaberg has a "cool" factor
greater than the KTM, but at a cost.(I won't elaborate)
It's what's more important to the buyer, just like
streetbikes. What turns your crank vs what annoys
you.Isn't being able to make choices great? If everyone
bought the same thing they would become common
and boring.Like Honda 750s became 3 years after they
came out,and Harleys are now.(Yep,sold that too.)

Hi All,
First ride out on my little orange pumpkin last night (bit of a running in session). Feels very nice, quicker turning, a bit twitchy, but very enjoyable. The lump makes you somehow ride faster, grunty, but when you give it the berrys it goes 8O . The oil change is a bit of a pain, 2 oil filters, 2 mesh screens, what a fook about. Out Friday with gruntunberg round a sand track, see how it goes there.

Take care

Hi All,
2nd ride out on the little pumpkin(525exc), it was a forest ride out with gruntunberg. The KTM worked very well on a mixture of surfaces, it hill climbed, it felt well planted on the twisty stuff, seems to be a good bike. Still quite dry out there at the moment, i hope it fairs as good in the wet. Not looking forward to the clean off tomorror
